No News Is Good News...

NOT TRUE!!! I really wish I had some grand news to share. But alas, still no baby. I did in fact make it to my appointment yesterday despite what my doctor thought. And I did make another appointment for next week. I am 40 weeks pregnant today. If I have to go to a 41 week appointment, I will be quite frustrated!

I am dilated nearly to a five. Not much different from last week. But, I still can not believe I have not gone into full-blown labor yet! Because of how far along I am, my doctor did give me the option of getting induced. I am not sure I want to go that route. I was induced with Ashlyn three days before her actual due date. My doctor wanted to induce me for two reasons: I was dilated to a four (sounds familiar), and I was measuring big. Brian was a big baby and my doctor was worried that Ashlyn was going to be a big baby. She wasn't though, she was a perfect 7 lb. 8 oz.

Since I was induced with Ashlyn, I really want to know what it is like to go into labor naturally. Plus, I think it would be more exciting to go naturally than to schedule the birth. However, if I make it to my next appointment, I just might change my mind! Feel free to make a new guess as to when this baby will come. And I also want to know if you think it will be a boy or a girl.

I think it is a girl and I think that she will make her arrival before Saturday. It's got to be soon. Also, you had better go to the hospital as soon as you start having regular contractions..you don't want to have her at home.

I think he is going to come on the 11th (Sunday). Yes that's right, he. Although everytime I think it's a boy with other people it ends up being a she-so it will probably be a girl! Love you!

Good for you for waiting. That baby is just not done baking yet. I'm still guessing a boy and it is coming on the 11th. Good luck. Can't wait to meet Brian Jr.!

I think it's a girl and so does Karlee! I think she will decide to grace all of us with her presence on Mon, Nov. 12.

PS - I hope it is more like Friday or Saturday. Keep walking, ha!!!

Due dates are seriously such a joke. When deb was at a 4, Merrill was born 2 hrs later. Good Luck with your 8Lb boy born Saturday at 12 noon.

I can't believe you are walking around at a 5!! If you're not careful, little girl Smiley with fall right out...if only it was that easy. :) So I feel your pain, there is nothing worse than your due date coming and going and you're still pregnant! Paige was a week late.

There has been a change in weather-I hear that helps people have babies? I'm guessing tomorrow, Friday, early morning around 3am you'll start to have heavy contractions then your water will break. Hope I'm right! :-)

I still say that you're having a girl and she will make her debut early Friday morning. I feel so bad that you have made it to your due date...and you're still waiting! Good luck! We'll be excited to hear the outcome!

Jaimers, first of all I love your blog!Very funny!Which of course the smiley family always is.

My prediction is that it will be a boy(boys get very comfortable and do not want to move)and will be born on the 19th. Apparently your babies love to be all cozy inside of you and not wanting to leave. Just tell him to go to the light!

Love you all.

Hmm. It's a boy. And he is coming next Tuesday. (I thought today. I was wrong.) Sorry to tell you this, but I walked around at a 7 for a week. A SEVEN!! These kids come when they want to. Or, you can look at it this way, they are getting extra instructions...which they will definently need. Good luck. I keep waiting and waiting. I guess you are too!

You know, I went to my last appointment (as a 7) and they sent me to the hospital, even though I wasn't "in labor." I mean, they can't turn me away, can they? I was a 7...they broke my water and out came Addy...30 minutes later. So, if you decide to wait it out, LEAVE FOR THE HOSPITAL AS SOON AS YOUR WATER BREAKS. You won't have much time. And you do not want a baby at home, or Target, or Walmart. And I don't want to be watching the news and seeing you and Brian on there. Brian has no medical training, that I am aware of! Good luck. We are waiting with you!

I think that it is a boy and he is busy with his great-grandpa and having too much fun with all the grandparents to bother coming down.I am sticking with a Sunday baby. Love you and remember I'm here is you need a break.

I think it's a girl and my guess is Saturday!! I went a week over with Kamryn, was dialated to a -1 (yep.. they have negatives) and I finally just went to the hospital and sat in triage until they agreed to induce me!! Here's hoping for a quick and easy delivery!!

My guess is that you have already had the baby. Check the living room.

I was wrong with Ashlyn, but since I have heard so many people thinking you are having a boy, I am going to jump on that band wagon. And again, I am guessing a Sunday and that would make it the 11th. Good Luck!!

Jamie, I goofed. I looked at the calendar incorrectly. I meant the 12th which happens to be today! So please do not wait until the 19th!Sending you lots of love, your a trooper.
