Cabin Fever

I love living in Utah because I love the four seasons. This includes winter. Yes, I do love cold, snowy days. To a point that is. I do not like being cooped up at home. I love going places, doing things, seeing people. And I have really been wanting to get out the of the house lately. So I have made a new goal for myself. I know I said that I was not making any goals/resolutions this year, but this is a fun one. My goal is to get of the house and go visit somebody/do something at least once a week. This is not only good for me, but Ashlyn as well.

Last week, we went clear out to Magna to visit Aaron and Monica and their kids. It was a lot of fun. I used to see Aaron every day up until about six months ago and I miss that. I love my big brother and I love being around him, he is a great guy.

Yesterday, we went to the aquarium. We met Mindy and her two girls there as well as my friend Heather and her kids. Like Mindy, Heather has two adorable girls. She also has a little boy, Tate, who was born just two days before Trent. It was fun to see the two boys together. It further confirmed the fact that Trent is a big boy! It was hard to believe they are both two months old. I wish I had taken a picture of them together :( Oh well, here are some picture I did take...

The highlight at the aquarium was the touch pool with the sting rays. Unfortunately, Ashlyn's arms were just not long enough to reach any. I don't think she minded though, she was happy just splashing in the water.

It has been impossible lately to get Ashlyn to look at the camera. Madi however, was very cooperative and all smiles. It was a fun day and Ashlyn was quite distraught when it was time to leave. Of course, before you can exit you must pass the gift shop. I was a sucker and bought Ashlyn a plastic bath toy turtle which she named Gus.? I have no idea where that came from.

What cute cousins! That is so cool that you are able to get together so often. Good job on the goal of getting out to visit. And Gus is a great name for a turtle!

It sure looks like you had fun! Sometimes I wished we lived closer to the city so we could do more things like that, our options are pretty limited here in the winter. But, then again thinking of all the traffic and the people, I think we'll just stay put and tough it out! Our big adventures each day include going to get the mail, maybe go to the library and occasionally the only grocery store or one of two gas stations!

That sounds like a fun idea. I wish I had a car so I could get out more often. If you ever want to you could come and visit me on one of your outings. That would be really fun.

What cute pictures! It does sound like you had a lot of fun! I agree with Zach, gus is a great name. I wonder if she got it off of Cinderella. One of the mice is named Gus Gus.

I would be honored to have you come over some time. I know it doesn't compare with all the cute cousins and friends. Maybe we could go somewhere together. It looks like they were having such a fun time. I could also watch Trent for you if you would like to leave him at home

How fun! Hunter & I took Becca's boys to the aquarium last year, and the stingrays were their favorite too. I also think it's funny that we both have cabin fever posts. I think winter gets old real fast, once Christmas is over!

What a great goal to go out and visit someone. It is great to keep us sane. Want to come to Spokane and visit? :) The offer is always there!

Cute pictures!
