Bring It On!

Having lived in Utah for 30 years, I've come to accept the reality of winter. In fact, I enjoy it. Hot chocolate, sledding, softly falling snow, the warmth of a fire, comfort foods, the holidays, snuggling up under a warm blanket, a big bowl of homemade soup - what's not to love?

Most people are sick of winter once Christmas is over, but not me. I love those relaxing days in January when there isn't much to do but sit indoors and spend time with family. I wouldn't say I love February (even though it is the month of love), I have just come to accept that February is cold and I try to have a positive attitude about it. Let's face it folks - it's not changing. Global warming? It certainly doesn't feel like it.

But now it is officially March and it is time for some serious sunshine!! Spring fever is in the air. We are definitely ready to say goodbye to the two things I don't like about winter - icy roads and sickness. All in all, I think we fared pretty well this winter, except for Trent. He suffered through pink eye, viral croup, runny noses, fevers, ear infections, and lots of sleepless nights due to the break-through of four molars. Poor guy!

Come on spring, we are ready and waiting!

UGH!! Pink eye is terrible. So is winter. I think you are one crazy girl to like it...or maybe you are an example of appreciating things.

You are the best.

Amen! I'm ready for that beautiful Spring weather. I think that my favorite season is changing from Fall to Spring because everything seems to come alive in the Spring, including hope! And it's motivating, it makes me want to get up off the couch and get things done.
Poor Trent looks miserable in that picture.

Poor little guy! He looks so miserable! I'm with you - Spring is the best! Ever since Sunday Weston has been walking all over the place...I think it was Trent's good influence and example! Haha! We'll have to get the boys together to play outside this summer for sure!

Oh my gosh, that poor baby! He needs a bubble to live in! Our weather has been moody lately, 70 one day, and rainy the next, but I am sending positive mojo to the weather gods to make your trip here warm and sunny!

Hope your test went good tonight!

Yes! It has been a terrible cold season. And I would have to agree that Trent buddy has had the worst of it. Spring is right around the corner. (Minus the snow we are supposed to get tonight). Keep thinking positive!

Oh poor Trent. I feel so bad when babies aren't feeling well. :( I hope he's doing better, now..

And we were totally teased this week! It was beautiful last weekend and now it's SNOWING again? It's freaking messed up, I'm telling you. Spring needs to just come already. I have spring fever so bad I was weeding my brother's garden. Just for fun.

I hate pink eye! It just kept on coming back this winter. As does the snow in Utah it seems...
