Gus is more the size of a small pet. He is kind of cute. My spider, mongrel, is just plain creepy. Also mongrel was VERY fast which only adds to his creepiness. He had very long slender legs. Gus has been sitting in the same spot for the past couple of months. He is getting fat. Very fat. He can hardly move. You should bring him for the winter. You could set him by the sink and rest assured that he'd stay put. I'm sure he likes steak-you could just feed him your scraps. Anyway, his size takes away from his creepiness. SO, while Gus may have mongrel beat in the size department, he's falling WAY behind in other areas. Next time you see Gus give him a kiss for me.
Okay, apparently I have to take my comment back. I blame you and Mindy. I hadn't seen a big spider here until I read your blog posts. You guys have cursed me.

I think the reality is that you both lose. Time to move to San Diego...I've never seen one that size here! :)
