Shiner

I guess there is a first for everything. I got my first black eye this morning, before I had even gotten out of bed. What a way to start the day!

How did this happen? Who could/would do such a thing? I'll give you a hint - it was a member of my family. My own flesh and blood. Someone whom I carried in my womb for nine months.

That's right. Trent is the culprit, and man did it hurt! My sweet little boy has developed a mean streak. We have been getting this look A LOT lately. But, in his defense, the black eye was an accident.

Here's the story: Brian brought him into our bed this morning and laid him next to me. He was in a great mood and gave me lots of good morning hugs and kisses. At one point he was sitting up and then decided - for reasons unknown - to throw himself backward. I'm guessing he thought his head was going to meet a pillow, but instead his head met mine. I saw stars. My eyes filled with tears. And then a nice, marble-sized goose egg developed, which then turned into a lovely shiner.

I haven't ever worn blue eye-shadow before, but I might have to for the next few days...and then a lovely shade of greenish yellow.

Wow-a real black eye. That is so awesome! Poor Trent is going to be reminded of his brutality every time he looks at his Mom. And poor Brian. He may not want to go out in public with you until it heals, otherwise I bet he'll get some dirty looks from strangers.

Yowza.. lots of ice.. or I hear a big slab of steak (but that's just gross). Blue eyeshadow is pretty cool.. my sis-in-law is a makeup artist for MAC and she's always sporting blue, green and some bright purple! :) Go for it!!

Trent may be in a grouchy mood lately, but seriously, that face cracks me up!! Good Luck! :)

WOW! To get a shiner like that he must have REALLY hit you hard! Sounds like it hurt, the accidental head butts hurt so bad sometimes (I guess one on purpose wouldn't feel to good either!)

Oh my gosh. Wow. That would hurt SO bad... I'm sorry.

At least it makes you look tough. You could make up a lie and say you were in a gang fight or something. That would be cool.

Oh my gosh I am laughing so hard at that face of his! Apparently it is terrible one's and not two's! I am NOT laughing at all about your poor eye, I can't even imagine how that must have hurt, and he has a dang hard head! I feel for you, but it does make you look tough! I would totally use it as blackmail against Brian, especially in public, lol! Miss you!

I didn't even notice it at all yesterday at mom and dad's. Dave mentioned something about it on the way home. Hope it heals quickly. That face of Trent's cracks me up. Too Cute!!
